9:00-9:15 - Welcome
by VMUG Team
9:15 to 10:00 - A Closer Look Into vSphere Hardware Accelerator Support
New and traditional enterprise applications are putting ever-growing demands on data center infrastructure. Machine Learning and Deep Learning applications are becoming key components of real-time, business-critical applications. These requirements drive the development and evolution of hardware technologies like GPUs, FPGAs, RDMA, and SmartNICs. This talk details how vSphere can consume and expose these modern technologies to virtualized workloads. We’ll discuss the latest VMworld announcements like Project Monterey, and the renewed NVIDIA partnership.
Niels Hagoort – VMware
10:00 to 10:45 - AVS, Where Microsoft meets VMware!
Azure VMware Solution (AVS) is the new SDDC offering that can be used on Microsoft Azure. In this session we are going to explorer the fundaments and use cases of this public cloud SDDC solution. The advantage of AVS position in Azure eco-system will also described and you will learn how to use Azure native features in conjunction with AVS. Besides that, we are also going to explain how you can connect your On-Prem VMware SDDC to AVS from the networking infrastructure point of view.
Shahrouz Lahiji – AteaRoger Morell – Microsoft
10:45 to 11:30 - Introduction to NSX Advanced Load Balancer with NSX-T integration
VMware NSX-T Data Center delivers a complete L2-L7 networking and security virtualization platform. It enables your virtual cloud network to connect and protect applications across your data center, multi cloud, bare metal, and container infrastructure. With the acquisition of Avi Networks last year, VMware now offer enterprise-grade load balancing and WAF capabilities for VCF and NSX-T environments. The VMware NSX Advanced Load Balancer (formerly Avi Networks) delivers software load balancing, WAF, and Kubernetes application networking services.
In this session you will learn about:
Mikael Steding - VMware
- Load balancing built on software defined principles with its modern architecture delivering elastic load balancing fabric for any cloud
- NSX-T integrated load balancing
