Boston VMUG Virtual Meeting

When:  Jul 6, 2020 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM (ET)
Associated with  Boston VMUG
The Boston VMUG is finally off to a start in 2020! Our first local meeting of the year is coming up virtually, and you don't want to miss this. Why not? Here's five reasons you want to leave the home office early on July 6. Register below, you will receive an email with login instructions the day of the event with how to join the meeting!

1. We're trying out the Echo Platform which is the big interactive world where VMware is going to start holding their virtual events. Think Doom Eternal but with fewer BFGs and more friends.

2. We have no agenda lined up. We are taking a break from all of the pitches and TPS reports to hang out on a virtual beach and try a new toy. Here are some potential things to talk about:

Time Topic Speaker
4 PM VMUG Introduction David Bass
4-4:30PM Explore the world Everyone!
5 PM Leader led discussion Erik Gruetzmacher
5:30 PM Leader mockings (emphasis on James) Everyone
4:05-? PM Happy Hour Everyone!

We're just trying to get together to hang out before the big Boston UserCon in a new environment. We will work out the login issues, figure out if the beach is the best place to meet or if we'd rather cruise around on the boat, or sit in a bored room. In the end its just hanging out with the community and making new friends.

3. The Boston VMUG is the place in Boston to network with technologists and admins that make up the local virtualization and IT community. Did you know that according to US News and World Report, over 70% of people find their next job via networking? You don't want to miss that opportunity.

4. We're going to be exploring a brand new platform and will be the first User group allowed in. Another Boston first!

5. Not only do we have some excellent content, but the Boston VMUG meetings are notorious famous for ending with an excellent happy hour (as long as your fridge is stocked). This is an excuse to drink at home on a Monday! Don't miss it!

So come, join us on July 6th. We're going to have a great time and get smarter, together.
