Greetings Western Michigan VMUG!
We will be having a virtual meeting on Friday April 16th from 9AM to 11:30. I am excited to welcome Peter Kieren who is going to have a dual-purpose presentation - both an introduction to Hands-on Labs for anybody who isn't aware or hasn't used them, and also a short Expert-Led Workshop on VMware Tanzu! If you've been wondering how to get started with Kubernetes on VMware you won't want to miss this session!Peter Kieren is a Cloud Platform Architect for VMware. Based in Calgary, Alberta Canada, he has been in the IT Industry since 1991. As a Lead Captain with the VMware Hands on Labs, Peter has developed many labs over the last 6 years and is responsible for the vSphere with Tanzu lab in 2020. Peter has a focus on Multi-Cloud architecture, Storage technologies and data and application resiliency. Peter has spoken at VMworld, VMUG and many trade and industry events throughout North America.
We will also have updates from our local VMware team, and an introduction of the new area Solutions Engineer, Mr. Jeff Dyer.
With the remaining time I'd like to try something new - a round-table discussion about what projects or challenges each of you are working through. This will be a chance to connect with fellow members and either pose questions to the group or provide your valuable insights to your area peers.
We will also be giving away one free year-long subscription to VMUG Advantage.
