Today's presenters:Lizz Torres
Education Sales Assoc, VMware
BIO:My name is Lizz Torres. I am from a small town in Illinois where I started my career as a teacher. After a year I made the move to Texas to teach. I taught for a total of 5 years before making the change to IT Sales. I now focus on aligning the appropriate training needed for companies to get up to speed with the business. I would say I combined the best of both worlds as I still get to focus on the importance of education.
- Why Training is Critical to business outcomes
- VMware Education and the impact on your success
- I will go through the current Certification Tracks

Abstract:Sometimes the best approach to solving business challenges is a technical approach. Other times, the best approach to solving technical challenges is a business approach. In today's changing landscape, the most successful IT professionals can do either. When the way that your business operates is considered during the technical design process, your solutions will be built to perform, enhance company revenue, and provide a reliable and enjoyable experience for your customers. When you adopt a business mindset in IT, your career will reap the benefits. I'll share some of my own experiences that will help you in your day to day activities as well as your own professional development, regardless of your role in the world of information technology."Michael Fleisher
