Duncan Epping:

Title: There is no growth in the comfort zone, there is no comfort in the learning zone!

Abstract: Many of us have been doing the same job for years, many of us have found ourselves in a situation where work has become a routine. How do you force yourself to stay up to date with new technology? In this session Duncan is going to discuss why he took 3 months out of his role to explore a completely different side of the world of IT, namely remote rendering of virtual reality applications. More importantly, what has he learned along the way, and why he feels that everyone should aim to step outside of their comfort zone when an opportunity to do so presents itself.

Frank Denneman:

Title: VMware’s Hybrid Cloud Vision and Strategy

Abstract: Learn about VMware’s 3-year Hybrid Cloud Vision and Strategy. In this session, Frank will discuss industry trends driving our thinking and then lay out VMware’s CPBU vision for how we can evolve our core platform to support where customers and the industry is going.

Cormac Hogan:

Title: Building a vSAN platform for both virtual machine and container workloads

Abstract: In this session, Cormac will discuss the changes in vSphere and vSAN to make it to a platform that can run both virtual machine and container workloads. Particular emphasis will be place on vSphere storage, where a number of enhancements have been made to give greater insights into how Kubernetes clusters running on top of vSphere are consuming the underlying vSphere storage. The session will include a number of demonstrations showing the integration points between vSphere and Kubernetes.
