Eliminating Mass Data Fragmentation in a Hybrid Multi-Cloud World
Learn how you can eliminate mass data fragmentation by leveraging a single web-scale data management platform to manage the vast majority of your organisation's data. We will show how we can consolidate data management silo’s regardless of where your data lives, enabling you to extract more value from your data, provide protection against ransomware and gain visibility with global actionable search.

Nick Kenny :: Why Kubernetes? A Developers Perspective.
What new application architectures are driving the adoption of K8s and why are we building apps like that now? What impact will that have on me, a vSphere admin?
Dan Watson :: Modern Load Balancing 101
Legacy hardware-defined load balancers, including those refactored to run as software on VMs, do not have the capabilities to scale, secure, monitor, and perform in a highly distributed cloud environment. As application architectures evolve from monoliths to microservices, and new multi-cloud environments need to be supported, application services such as load balancing need a dramatic shift. In this session explore the modern load balancing architecture that brings the simplicity of the public cloud to application delivery in any environment.

Neill Smith & Jason butters :: Virtualise Critical Legacy Apps in VMware Cloud on AWS
Scottish Government Agriculture and Rural Economy Directorate (ARE) desired to embrace a modern hybrid cloud strategy built around VMware technologies as their platform of the future. This was complicated by many mission-critical, legacy applications and Oracle databases that were perceived to be impossible to virtualize or move to the cloud due to their dependence on legacy technologies such as the SPARC/Solaris platform, Oracle Database 10g, and Oracle APEX. Using VMware technologies this session is about how they were able to virtualize the legacy application stacks using VMware vSphere, and leverage VMware HCX and VMware Cloud on AWS (VMC) as a disaster recovery platform.
