vSphere 7 with Tanzu: What’s So Amazing About Lifecycle Management in vSphere 7? (2 of 5)

Thu, Jan 28, 2021 | 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM CST

vSphere 7 comes with many enhancements for lifecycle management, making it easier and more efficient to update and upgrade your virtual infrastructure. We'll discuss how to implement consistency across ESXi hosts and vCenter Server instances. This talk covers how to use vSphere Lifecycle Manager (vLCM) for declarative ESXi cluster management. Using vLCM allows you to integrate vSphere with selected hardware vendors to push out full-stack firmware updates. Learn how to use the simplified image creator to include vendor components and additional drivers.

Why You Should Run Your AI/ML Workloads on vSphere 7 - The Choices for GPU Use (3 of 5)

Thu, Feb 4, 2021 | 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM CST

The basics of machine learning applications are explained first in this talk and the importance of acceleration hardware to ML apps is shown. VMware vSphere 7 has support for the very latest GPU accelerators for machine learning applications. Three different methods of deploying GPUs for ML applications are given here with the pros and cons of each method. Doing all of this on vSphere 7 with Tanzu is now a joint project between NVIDIA and VMware, including technology such as the NVIDIA GPU Cloud (NGC) pre-built ML components. We give an insight into that work also in the talk.
