Intrinsic Security: How vSphere 7 Helps Us Keep Workloads Safe

Mon, May 4, 2020 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM CDT

When VMware talks about security and compliance we often talk about “intrinsic security,” or the idea that security is baked into the products, rather than something sprinkled on afterwards. Intrinsic security is a goal, a feature, and an attitude, and vSphere 7 represents the best of it at the core of data center infrastructure. Using the “CIA Triad” that is familiar to information security professionals, we’ll translate the new features and improvements into the security and compliance benefits for your workloads..

Running Elastic Infrastructure for AI and ML Workloads with vSphere and Bitfusion

Mon, May 11, 2020 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM CDT

Hardware acceleration is used extensively for machine-learning and artificial intelligence. Virtualization is needed for this hardware acceleration to solve issues with low utilization, and difficulties with silos and management. The Bitfusion technology will be presented that enables remote GPU access, fractional GPU access, analytics and manageability. These capabilities will be demonstrated as well. Bitfusion was acquired in August 2019, to extend VMware’s vision, “Any app, any device, any cloud”, to hardware acceleration.
